Install CyteSeer
What follows are detailed installation instructions for CyteSeer.
Download and unzip the CyteSeer installer file you downloaded from the Vala Sciences website. CyteSeer comes in versions for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. All versions are installed and function in a very similar manner.

Launch the unzipped executable.

Your system may require you to verify that the source of the download is safe.

Click the default 'Continue' on the CyteSeer splash screen.

Proceed with the installation by clicking the 'Next' button.

Agree to the terms of the licensing agreement by checking the box and the click 'Next'

A progress window will display while the installation is taking place. This screen indicates CyteSeer has been installed successfully. Clicking 'Finish' will launch CyteSeer.

CyteSeer should launch and is ready to use.
CyteSeer will prompt you for a license file when the 'Run' button is clicked.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The 'Run' button is only active when the source and destination folders are correctly populated. The source folder should point to the image folder. The exact folder varies with respect to naming convention but is generally the folder with an entre plate's worth of data. The simplest naming convention to use is "Free Form". It will read any tif file in that directory. The destination folder can be any folder.
CyteSeer does not require a license to view images, masks or data. It intended to be freely distributed for these tasks.
A license is required to create image masks & numerical data from your microscope images.
