Installation Category: The instrument is designed to be safe for transient voltages according to Installation Category II.

Grounding Requirements: To protect against electrical shock, the wall ground (earth) plug must be correctly connected to the laboratory grounding electricity installation.

Pollution Degree: The instrument is designed for Pollution Degree 2.

Altitude: The instrument is designed to be safe up to 6,560 ft. (2,000 m).

Temperature, Ambient Operating: The safe ambient operating temperature is 5ºC to 40ºC (41ºF to 104ºF).

Humidity, Ambient Operating: The safe ambient operating humidity is less than or equal to 85%.

Electromagnetic Environment Check: The instrument is designed to produce less than the acceptable level of electromagnetic interference when properly placed. Electromagnetic interferences are limited to levels that allow the correct operation of other instruments conforming to their placements. If there is a problem, ensure that the instrument if not placed near electromagnetic fields or short wave emissions (such as radar, X-ray machines, scanner, and so forth).

Throughput: The throughput rate is determined by the application. The system is capable of acquiring up to 10,000 images per hour.

Environmental Protection: Removal and recycling of this instrument must be done by a properly qualified laboratory in accordance with local legislation.

Sound Pressure: The maximum sound pressure in the normal operator position is 63.2dBa. The maximum sound pressure one meter from the instrument is 59.7dBa.

Lab Environment: Because of the optics on the system, it is important that the system be installed in a clean, dust-free laboratory environment.

Space, Accessibility, Venting: To allow operation, venting, maintaining, and servicing, allow at least 15cm (6in.) on each side and on the rear and the front.

Electrical: One dedicated ac outlet supplying:
    110-120 Vac, 60 Hz, 15 A input power, or, 220-240 Vac, 50 Hz, 10 A input power.
    A confirmed third-wire earth ground on the ac input outlets that can carry the full current of the circuits.
    UPS connectivity, desired but not required.

Lighting: Non-fluorescent dimmer lights are recommended but not required.
